This photo is of a Lion's Mane fungus. It is also called Bearded Tooth mushroom or Hericium erinaceus. It is an edible plant that grows on trees in a wooded landscape. I found this one in Liberty Lake Park in Bedford, Va. usa. The giant fungus is an awesome sight and was a pleasure to find. This nature photo has been digitally enhanced, nothing weird, but just to bring out the beauty of the plant. It is available on several products and would make an especially nice print.
